Now you are probably thinking that you don’t have time to make your own lunch ever day and it is just easier to get something at work,. The below recipe will disprove that theory and will show you that you can make healthy lunches, at home and cheaply too.

What You Will Need:

1 chopped onion
1 cup rice
1/2 cup chopped cabbage
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp garam Masala
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chilly powder
1/2 tsp urad dhall
 1/2 tsp channa dhall
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
Oil for frying
Instructions:
Cook rice as per normal packet instructions.
In a pan, saute the mustard seeds, urad dhall and channa dhall for about a minute before adding the ginger garlic paste. Fry for 2 minutes.
Add the chopped onion and cabbage to the pan, fry for a minute before adding a little water and putting the lid on. Cook for 5 minutes or until cabbage is soft.
Once cooked, add the chilly powder, masala, turmeric and salt. Let it saute for a few minutes so the spices can get absorbed before adding the cooked rice.
